Since the earliest days of the car auction business,
back in the 1940's, BCA has been integral to developing an active marketplace
for classic car auctions and in 1963 staged the UK's first exclusively classic
car auction at Beaulieu.
BCA now holds six Classic car auctions a year featuring notable and interesting
examples of motoring history from around the world.
BCA's Classic & Historic Automobile Division provides an exceptional classic
car auction service to both buyers and sellers of classic and historic motor
vehicles. As long standing enthusiasts and owners of such vehicles ourselves,
we appreciate and understand your classic car auction requirements.
Our commission rates and fees for classic car auctions are extremely competitive
and a half page catalogue entry with colour photograph costs £100 plus VAT.
Advice can be given on all aspects of buying and selling at one of our auctions.
We are also able to offer expert guidance on the management of collections
both small and large.
If you are interested in selling or purchasing at one of our classic car
auctions, please contact Robin Lawton or Peter Bourne to discuss your requirements.
Robin Lawton has lead the Division since 1995. Involved in the motor trade
since 1967, before joining BCA, Robin ran his own garage specialising in
sports and classic cars for many years. With a lifelong enthusiasm for all
things automotive, he bought his first vintage car at the age of 15.
Peter Bourne joined the Division earlier this year as Operations Manager,
having gained six years experience in various roles at BCA Blackbushe. Peter
came to BCA from the motorcycle trade with experience in workshop management
and he owns a small collection of BSA and Norton motorcycles, currently restoring
a 1960 BSA A10 Super Rocket.
The Classic & Historic division also holds Automobilia sales which often
include artwork (original oils on canvas, prints, posters, advertising media),
mascots, badges, emblems, models, ornaments, books, handbooks and magazines.
