JAGUAR MK 2 3.4

One of the most iconic cars of its era, the Mk
2 Jaguar range has long been a cornerstone of the classic car
movement, supported by two enthusiastic owners’ clubs with enviable
spares availability. Still a brisk performer, the Mk 2 is
eminently usable and makes an ideal long distance touring car,
overdrive versions giving effortless high speed cruising.
Dating from 1961, this 3.4 would seem to be in
largely original condition having clearly been well kept over the
years. Three months after being registered new, the car was
exported to Australia by its original owner and has resided there
for some thirty years, benefiting from the warm dry climate.
Imported back into the UK in 1991, the vehicle was reallocated its
original Coventry registration number. Remaining in its
original livery of Old English White with red leather trim, the car
is said to drive extremely well. The recorded mileage,
currently standing at around 64,500, is believed by the vendor to
be correct.
A very genuine looking example, it is offered
for sale with a Jaguar-Daimler Heritage Certificate, V5C document
and file of additional documentation, together with a recently
renewed MOT certificate. Interestingly, the car has appeared
in the TV series, Neighbours and was also featured in the
Western Daily Press and The Star. The complete toolkit is
also included. During the current ownership of nine years,
the motor car has been sparingly used in fine weather, mainly for
shows and the occasional wedding, having proved totally
reliable.
Offered for sale due to bereavement, this
Jaguar 3.4 is sure to provide considerable enjoyment to its next
owner.
