JAGUAR XJ6C

Although the coupé version of the XJ6 was
first seen in late 1973, it did not in fact go into production
until two years later. Sleek and elegant, this model exuded
an air of exclusivity. It was to become highly sought after
and, with a production run of just two years, it is a comparative
rarity today and as such is keenly sought by Jaguar
enthusiasts.
A 1975 model, this XJ6C has been in the
current ownership for the past 22 years. During 1987 an
extensive restoration was undertaken both bodily and mechanically
which we are advised cost approximately £30,000. The engine
and gearbox were replaced at this point whilst the coachwork
refurbishment included the fitment of new wings. Additional
work carried out has included the replacement of the steering
column within the last couple of years whilst a stainless steel
exhaust system has been installed. The radiator was also
renewed fairly recently.
The car was exported to France in 1987 and it
is now reluctantly offered for sale as the vendor has little time
to enjoy it. Still currently wearing its Paris registration
number, we understand that only around 8,000 kms have been covered
whilst in this ownership and the vehicle is offered with French
documentation and extensive service history etc. Finished in
dark blue with beige trim, the motor car is of very smart
appearance all round.
